TSC is pleased to announce that as part of our public sector development strategy and our work with SCC, our business partner for public contracts, we have achieved CAESER certification for environmental, social and economic responsibility

The UK Government has placed sustainable development high on its agenda, with a particular focus on sustainable procurement, setting the goal of being among the European Union leaders in sustainable development in 2009. As a result, responsible, transparently sustainable spend on the procurement of goods and services is more crucial for the public sector than ever before.

CAESER (Corporate Assessment of Environmental, Social and Economic Responsibility) is an inclusive program of supplier engagement in environmental, social and economic issues. CAESER supports organizations in their goal of sustainable procurement. CAESER assesses an organization’s practices around environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and economic responsibility and awards certificates with the ultimate goal of ‘gold status’, where a supplier in turn adopts CAESER to assess the responsible practices of its own suppliers.

Having achieved Gold status SCC has helped TSC to achieve certification in its own right.
